Most self-publishing platforms offer free ISBNs that are exclusive to that company and cannot be used elsewhere. Purchasing your own ISBN allows you to have one ISBN number per format/per book for each store you decide to list your book on. It keeps the number consistent on all platforms. Purchasing your own ISBN(s) is not necessarily required to publish with us, but it is highly recommended. Through Amazon, eBooks do not require an ISBN, but other platforms may.

However, due to registrant information needs, a 3rd party (us) cannot be listed on the ISBN registration as the entity who purchased the ISBN.
